The Internal Smile is one of the characters at the heart of Rambling Clo, now available as a handmade patch.

Each patch is made in the studio from old deadstock cotton T-shirts, giving existing fabric another life rather than using newly produced material. The fabric is cut, printed and finished by hand in small batches, so every patch carries a little piece of the making process with it.

Stick it on your jacket, bag, hoodie, jeans, workwear or whatever else needs a bit of Internal.

Made from what already exists. Made by hand. Made to be worn.

Why deadstock?

Deadstock fabric is material that already exists but has been left unused or would otherwise go to waste.

Rather than buying new fabric specifically to make these patches, we're using old cotton T-shirts and giving them another purpose.

It's a small thing, but that's the point.

Use what exists. Make less. Waste less.

Internal is the little voice in your head.

The one that can be chaotic, uncomfortable, funny, dark and strangely optimistic all at once.

The smile is a reminder that sometimes you've got to embrace the mess rather than pretend it isn't there.

Care

As these patches are made from reclaimed cotton and finished by hand, treat them with a little care.

If attaching to clothing, follow the application instructions supplied with your patch. Washing instructions may vary depending on how the patch is attached.

Small Batch

These aren't factory-produced by the thousands.

They're made in the studio, using materials that already exist, and produced in small quantities.

Once they're gone, the next batch may look slightly different depending on the deadstock fabric available.
